We are demanding the University of Illinois of Urbana-Champaign, Title-IX, the Men's Basketball team, and campus police to hold athletes accountable for the violence they have committed towards individuals. This has sparked from the recent negligence the campus has had in response to the report of Benjamin Bosmans Verdonk's (#13 forward on MBB) actions towards Danisha Carter.

• Danisha visited Verdonk- things were good until she caught him texting his ex and other girls.
• He leaves her in his apt for hours during her stay and tells people she catfished him.
• Multiple arguments, tells her she is “fat, ugly, and bigger than he wants her to be”
• She flies back home
• He sends her messages saying she stole his keys and sent people to harass him
• He threatens to doxx her, or publish her address
• She contacts UIUC, asking for a no-contact order and for them to have a conversation with him
• UIUC replies that his actions do not violate the student code, no action taken against him
• UIUC implies that she did something to provoke him
• Campus police attempt to intimidate her, threatening to sue her and smear her image online
• Basketball team members have made jokes about the situation and deleted comments of confrontation

This situation shows how far the school and the men's basketball team will go to protect their players and the wrongdoings they commit. This also nudges towards the possibility of other inexcusable actions Verdonk and others may have committed. It is reported that other victims have also come forward, but do not wish to reveal their identity at this time.
