Andrew Lloyd Webber is notoriously known for his damaging ways in the theatre industry.

Most recently ALW has cut the season of Cinderella short, informing his current cast moments before the press release. However not all cast members were informed and some exisiting and new (who were scheduled to join the cast) were informed via the social media post that went out to the public. Leading lady Carrie Hope Fletcher, was not even informed by production team. She was simply texted by a friend who had seen the announcement on social media. 

This entire situation was lacking dignity and respect from ALW & his group. For the past few years due to the pandemic, creative artists have taken blow after blow with countless shutdowns and cancellations. This situation is not fair on any of the artists involved. 

ALW has had a string of previous incidents including yelling at younger cast members that quote "nobody deserves to be on that stage" along with multiple other incidents regarding race & homophobia when casting shows. 

A public apology should be issued directly from ALW to the cast of Cinderella for the way this was handled.
