We, the students of Semester I, M.Sc Physics (2020), studying at University of Kashmir, Department of Physics, don't agree with the department's decision on taking the exams offline.

The apprehensions we posses with the offline exam are summarized as;

While travelling to the campus & over there, nobody can ensure our safety & we love our lives.

Any sort of infection to any student can ruin everything as maximum of the students have not being vaccinated yet.

90% of the students hail from far areas, and have no stay arrangement/rented rooms. They can't do up-down daily during their exam time.

Offline exams are equivalent to open-camera online exams.

This decision clearly violates the UGC guidelines for exams in prevailing CoVid situation, that too when 3rd wave peak is on its way to come.

Nonetheless, if offline exams can be taken following SOPs, then which factor prohibited us starting offline classwork during the semester, and we could have comprehended comparatively better.

This is requested to please switch the decision, so as to make the exams student-friendly yielding more efficiency in students career.

We, strongly hope that our concerns shall get a positive reception.
