The current uniform code for Hobart High School states that boys must wear long trousers, no matter how hot the weather gets, despite the fact girls are able to wear skirts. This is not only unfair and sexist but also unsafe. Students should be able to adjust their clothing to weather conditions to avoid conditions such as dehydration and heat stroke. Furthermore it is totally unreasonable to expect students to sit and concentrate on their studies without allowing them the basic right to work in comfortable temperatures. 

One student has already missed valuable education time this week due to being forced to overheat thanks to this dangerous and illogical policy. Hobart High need to review and correct this discrepancy in their policy immediately.
