This event is an international institution that draws competitors, supporters and tourists from all over the world to compete and spectate at.
It would have immense and detrimental effects on both the effectiveness of the event and the attraction to tourism.

I am a motorsport fan and we need to promote this sort of usage to keep motor sport off the street

HCC should assist all sporting groups to provide a suitable area for the benefit of the whole community. It is so simple to use removable traffic barriers to enable competitors and spectators, some of whom can only attend this event due to its ideal central location being another exciting event for Hobart people and visiting tourists

It’s a great place to see a hill climb event in close proximity. There’s good access and it generally doesn’t effect other parties

The Queens Domain is public open space and should be available to everyone for use by the broadest range of people and pursuits. It matters not how many participants are involved, be it Croquet, Cricket or Car racing. Each to their own, as long as we continue to respect other users as we have always done in the past and coordinate our activities. I'd really love to know the rationale behind this motion (and decision) and look forward to an open discussion about future usage.

The domain is a perfect place to hold an event. It doesn't affect residents access to their properties and is a fabulous opportunity for motor sports fans. As an annual event it is very much an opportunity for the motor sport community to come together.

I'm pro hobart and tasmania. Tasmania is for everone to enjoy not just a few. Everone enjoys different activities and we should keep it that way.

Need to continue to support enthusiasts, encourage tourism and give residents and visitors alike events and attractions to visit in Hobart. Enough stagnation in Tasmania, let's not make it worse

This event is paramount to training younger drivers how to handle their cars in controlled situations rather than on the roads.
