Why this petition matters

While most have no intention to rent/lease our property, we feel that a 30 day rental limit is fair and allows for maintenance of property values.  If the lease term becomes too restrictive, it will adversely affect the property values, and this should be considered by the Board.    The issue, in our opinion, should not be addressing an extension of that term but instead, we should address any nuisance issues that arise through the existing clause.    The 30 day limit is adequate to get it out of the VRBO and AirBNB inventory, which we believe most homeowners want to limit.  Restricting it further to 60 or 90 days creates potential property devaluation, is overly restrictive and punishes all homeowners in attempt to control a few bad actors. 

It is incumbent upon any governing body to enact regulations that are enforceable, reasonable and the least restrictive possible to perform it's duties.
