1- There are no playgrounds that families can walk to that are close to Richmondtown. The nearest playgrounds are 2-4 miles away on busy roads, some with no sidewalks. 

2- About 11% of the population in the 10306 zip code are children under the age of 10, and 54% of households are families with children–all underserved by outdoor activities. 

3- Historic Richmond Town is a central meeting place for people who live in the neighborhood. Neighbors love participating in events on the land. It has a vast amount of open and under utilized grass land.
