Recent news

Our hearts are heavy with this latest news. We pray and hope that what has been reported is not true. We are all shocked, devastated and deeply saddened. If it is true, we send our deepest condolences to Kenji's wife, children, his mother and immediate family. We ask the world to give the family the privacy and space to grieve. If it is true, one of the great lights of goodness in our time has gone out in the world. Kenji Goto was the voice of those who could not speak for themselves; especially the children who were living in the direst circumstances in places no being should have to live in. If those who want to remember Kenji can do one thing for someone else today whoever and wherever they are in the name of Kenji that would be a start in honoring him. Kenji always put others before himself. He was a quiet modest man whom we could all learn from. So now, we can all say “I AM KENJI” and become more selfless, compassionate and brave in our daily lives and do what we can to help those around us that are suffering and thereby Kenji Goto will live on in our speech, thoughts and actions. Kenji – you are in our hearts and prayers.
