Trevor Noah’s stereotypical Apu-like (or Hank Azaria” and Ronnie Chieng’s bit excluding South Asians from the Asian Experience (ironically while discussing the UK where the term “Asian” specifically refers to South Asians) were both extremely offensive to South Asians and weren’t that funny which is just as important, if not more.

The only way to make amends for this is to hire a South Asian host, maybe somewhat of a fresh face, who is most importantly not a cornball. Many South Asians are cornballs. Ivy League comedy writers and UCB comedians are alright but usually white and more of the same style of writing.

Remember the song Combination Pizza Hut Taco Bell by Das Racist or any of their other songs or their interviews? That one guy Himanshu “Heems” Suri was pretty funny, intelligent, and savvy. He’s a real New Yorker.

This petition is to hire Himanshu to host the Daily Show or if not him, Ashok “Dapwell” Kondabolu, brother of Hari, and admittedly funnier than both of us.
