Safe Lunch - COVID - HCSD

Safe Lunch - COVID - HCSD
To make the Community feel safe - why not offer an early end of the day to the families that want to participate until the vaccine is available? This concept does a few things:
It gives the concerned parents options;
Reduces the number of children you need to accommodate on campus for lunch.
The perception within the Community is school district and state is operating in a vacuum of last year's facts and not realizing/addressing the DELTA variant or long COVID.
Feeding 300+plus students lunch at each school campus is a risky endeavor given the incredible new transmission risk. The solution of outdoor eating is not realistic; What happens when the weather turns? How do you propose to keep campuses of 300+ socially distanced? What happens when multiple children are in the bathroom and need to wash their faces after eating?
A mask policy is a commitment, not something that has choices (indoors vs. outdoors) nor the ability to lose a mask - slips with the Delta variant are how forty to seventy percent of a school can get infected.
If you have never seen a person on a ventilator, you should; once you see them, you will agree a ventilator is something no person, let alone a child, should ever endure.
