Ian Powdrill started this petition to Hillsborough County Zoning Board and

Members of the John Moore community.

Most of you by now are aware that an application has been filed with the county to rezone a substantial portion of Lynn Halecki's farm from AR (Agricultural) to PD (Residential Planned Development). Application number RZ 19-1099.

The property referenced within this application is the northern 1/2 of the farm, the "fish farm" portion directly in front of Hickory Woods subdivision.

While we're not clear at this time on a lot of the technical details, we do know the developer (a builder from Sarasota) is requesting to be allowed to build 4 homes per acre on this site.

Historically, the Hickory Creek Property Homeowners Association has supported residential development along John Moore Rd, provided zoning was R3 (three homes per acre) or less.  In the last 20 years, HCPOA and its friends and neighbors up and down the J-M corridor have successfully "encouraged" developers to follow these R3 guidelines.  So far, without exception.

This current rezoning application, as proposed, is therefore unacceptable.

Friends and neighbors, please join us in the fight to defeat RZ 19-1099 and preserve the character of our John Moore community!

NO R4...ALONG JOHN MOORE!!!
