125 million or 17% of women alive today in Africa were married as children (under the age of 18). 76% of girls in Niger are forced to marry older men who may be already married and have kids. Sadly parents marry off their children due to poverty or out of fear for their own safety. Child Marriage is a huge issue and we need to stop it now!
