As we know that Washington State has the most Coronavirus cases and especially in King County. We as students and people who live in King County are so worried of being infected by this novel Coronavirus. Based on the news, the number of people who got infected and died increase everyday, every hour and we are so worried and stressed out. Many big Universities in King County are already moved their classes to online because they want to prevent the spreading Covid-19 by stop gathering together. However, Highline College still remain open and do not provide online classes for the students.
We understand that there is no Coronavirus case confirmed yet at Highline College, but what we already know is that Coronavirus can stay in the body for 14-27 days. Some people might get mild version of Coronavirus but they are not aware of it, and people can get infected unintentionally.
We understand that College provide flexible attendance but students still have to go to school, otherwise they will miss the lectures and fail the exams.
We believe moving classes and final to online is the best option to show care to students and our community as a whole. We also strongly believe that there will not be any harm of difficulty for the College to conduct online lectures for students.
Students’ welfare is the first priority, please help support us to make this happen!
