Fort William bypass to ease congestion.
This petition had 1,953 supporters
With the influx of visitors to the fort William area the traffic into fort William from the north is becoming a major issue. A journey from caol/corpach to fort William will take 10 mins in the off season but come the summer the same journey has been known to take up to an hour due to the sheer volume of traffic.
As we all know the idea of a shoreline bypass was looked at and rejected years ago but with the traffic numbers growing year on year surely it's time to revisit this issue.
So here is a petition that will be presented to the highland council and local MPs asking them to reconsider the need for such a bypass.
