Why this petition matters

Started by Jonah Soucy

A Vet at the Highland Animal hospital was supposed to check on a Cooper, a husky with a sore paw. Instead he came in and didn’t even ask what Cooper was in for, nor read his chart. Instead he took it upon himself to just euthanize Cooper. The veterinary assistant who knew exactly what cooper was in for, reportedly watched and did not say a word to the Vet. The Vet then went on telling the woman “sorry I thought you wanted me to put him down” and that he’d made a mistake because 3 other dogs needed to be put down that day. If he’d checked the chart, or asked like he should have he would’ve known.

They even went so far as to say they would “Cremate the dog and cover the cost” as an even bigger insult to the woman and her family.
