The idea that encouraging/facilitating people to donate bone marrow to save other people's lives would somehow be unethical or illegal is absurd — and extremely sad! What _is_ unethical — and immoral — is blocking such efforts.

I'm signing because I strongly support this petition. I know what it is like to have family struggling with cancer and chemotherapy being their only option. If someone has a chance at surviving by a donor then I am all for this. People all over are dying of cancer. Some cancer patients aren't even lucky to be able to be helped by a donor but only by chemo treatments. If this person has a chance, I will take a stand to get her there!

I believe the current system for procuring donors, of bone marrow and other needed organs and tissues, is ill-conceived and needs reform to provide incentives for providing donations.
