Aims:

permit a privilege membership to well-behaved students to the library and OLS to Year 11 - Sixth Form at lunch time
Provide teachers an open space to counsel or be counseled by students for educational enhancement and behavioural rehabilitation
Provide students an outline of improvement for every subject

Brief Description

5-10mins after lunch, well-behaved yr11 and sixth form students (judged by hs points)  can access the OLS and library facilities. This will not only provide educational enhancement and behavioural reflection; in light of covid, it will provide a safe sanctuary in case of an outbreak.

As students head into yr11 and sixth form, already hardened tensions teacher v student in the classroom will make it hard for students to focus. these safe sanctuaries will provide a chance for students to reflect on a teacher’s disciplinary actions and to enhance the educational experience by improving and customizing based on their feedback.

In addition to covid, teachers and students who must self isolate will tarnish the educational experience and confuse and bring chaos to the work ethics environment we highly enforce in yr11.

Providing a weekly outline for improvement in every subject provides guidance to the student when the teacher is away, perpetuating that strong work ethic which will reap high grades.
