Buntingford has a  population which is growing with every passing month. There are new build properties on every corner of this market town, yet the infrastructure required to deal with the influx in numbers is not in place. 

In the 2011 consensus there was 5,738 recorded inhabitants of Buntingford that number has almost doubled in the subsequent years. 

I have started this petition to try and get some traction round one of the most important aspects of any growing town. It’s transport infrastructure. I would like to see the opening of a Buntingford train station linking to one of the local main station to allow access to London and Cambridge. 

This would hopefully reduce traffic on the already populated roads and also allow Buntingford to continue to grow and develop. 

This would provide greater working opportunities for all those in Buntingford and the wider community surrounding Buntingford. 

If we do not have something of this nature soon I fear the existing infrastructure will not be able to cope with the growing demand with the increased housing, cars and people.
