In 1998, the game Ocarina of Time was released for the N64. It was the first Zelda game to be released as a 3D game and has become the gold standard for all future Zelda games. In 2000, the direct sequel Majoras Mask was also released for the N64. Both games proved to be massive hits with critics and gamers. In 2011 and 2015 respectively, both games received 3d releases for the Nintendo 3ds. Both 3d releases proved key to introducing younger players to the games. If the 3d releases were re-released for the Nintendo Switch as a double feature, then younger players would be able to play the games wherever they wanted. the advantage of a double feature game is that people would be able to buy both games for the price of one. Due to the success of both games, they have received awards and acclaim that have cemented their reputations.
