The Hernando County Transportation department really needs to change thier procedures. 

On the first day of school my 12 year old Daughter, who has never ridden a bus to school in her life. gets on a bus to go to middle school. 

Her Father and I are waiting at the bus stop and our Daughter does not get off the bus. And our worst nightmare comes true. We approach the bus driver and he tells us he has over 150 kids and has no idea where our daughter is. We then call the school, who is frantically trying to help us.

We then try to call Hernando County Transportation who does not awnser thier phone. We proceed to drive frantically around Spring Hill trying to find our very young and scared Daughter. 

Thank God for Hernando County Police Dept for helping our Daughter to get home safe and sound. This situation had a Positive outcome. Not all situations turn out this well.

This system is obviously broken. Couldn't they have at least taken roll call. Something needs to change to spare other parents from the realization that thier worst nightmare has come true.
