To thank her majesty the Queen for awarding a knighthood to former PM Tony Bair.

Prime Minister Blair won three elections for the labour party. He was responsible for much of beneficial change to British society.
During his time in office, the UK economy enjoyed record growth.
His government made major improvements in Britain’s public services, particularly healthcare and education, through a programme of investment and reform.
Britain’s first ever statutory minimum wage was introduced.
Prime Minister Blair led the successful London 2012 Olympics bid.
Prime Minister Blair oversaw the peace process for Northern Ireland.
He introduced the first elected Mayor for London, the Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly and Northern Ireland Assembly.
He trebled the UK’s aid programme for Africa and introduced the first environmental programme in the UK to combat climate change.
Although people criticise him for his controversial support for the war in Iraq. They forget his successful support and leadership to help the people of Sierra Leone and the oppressed Muslim population in Kosovo.
No other labour leader has won 3 elections in a row. That was a significant achievement and necessary for democracy. Prime Minister Blair preferred power to achieve good rather than the purity of opposition.
His contributions to public life since leaving office are considerable. He has established the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to work on some of the most difficult challenges in the world today, including how the centre ground of politics renews itself with practical policy solutions.
We the signatories wish to thank her Majesty the Queen for recognising Prime Minister Blair’s considerable achievements by making him the Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
