Dear Mr. Bergman and Mr. Ford,
I am writing to you from New York, where almost half of the COVID19 cases in the United States are located, because our healthcare workers need your help. I am asking you to donate 5 Minute Coronavirus Testing Kits and Antibody Rapid Tests (Immunity Tests) to all the New York healthcare workers so that they can see their families and loved ones without infecting them during their limited time off. Healthcare workers already have limited time at home amidst this crisis, but with about two weeks of quarantine necessary to show symptoms, and limited testing kits, many healthcare workers aren’t seeing their families at all to ensure that their family is safe from COVID19. We are giving healthcare workers an impossible choice: Are they going to see their family, but only at a distance with a risk of infecting them, or are they not going to see their family at all with weeks of separation? How are they supposed to tell their six-year-old daughter, “Don’t hug me” on her birthday? How are they going to sleep in a different bed as their partner for weeks? Thousands and thousands of healthcare workers are put in this position every day, and thousands and thousands are deciding to stay in self isolation for weeks to ensure the health of their family.
Healthcare workers are working tirelessly to ensure that patients recover from this virus and that the patients don’t have to miss the important things- all the birthdays, their child’s first steps, or just valuable time with their families and loved ones. It is our duty to step up and do the same for our healthcare workers. These moments will nourish healthcare workers’ souls so that they can wake up the next morning and save more souls. It will show our gratitude to the people on the frontlines, working nonstop to ensure our safety. The 5 Minute Coronavirus Testing Kits will give Healthcare workers the opportunity to know if they have the virus and a potential to infect their loved ones, while the Antibody Rapid Tests (Immunity Tests) will allow the healthcare workers to test their family members to make sure they are protected against the threat, and even allow them to discontinue the separation they have imposed with their family if they discover that they are all immune. It is your duty to give them the 5 Minute Coronavirus Testing Kits and the Antibody Rapid Tests (Immunity Tests), which will enable them to come home earlier so that they don’t have to miss time with their families.
Many other companies and individuals have stepped up during these times: Banks are donating millions of dollars, parents and students are sewing homemade facemasks, the Four Seasons is donating rooms to medical workers, grocery stores are helping the elderly, brands are donating facemasks to healthcare facilities. It is your duty as the people leading companies, equipped with such influential technology, and as citizens, to step up and help our healthcare workers today.
During these difficult and scary times, it is extremely important for everyone to step up and do their part, which is why I am asking you to donate enough 5 Minute Coronavirus Testing Kits and Antibody Rapid Tests so that all the New York healthcare workers can test themselves and their families whenever they have time off. I know that we can all get through this if everyone chips in.
