South Carolina, like much of the nation, is suffering economic hardship and may need a method to generate revenue and create jobs all over the state.

I urge you to investigate the implementation of Virgin Hyperloop in the state to connect 6 major areas of the state: Charleston, Columbia, Rock Hill, Greenville, Florence, and Myrtle Beach. These cities are among the largest cities in the state and could benefit the most from this technology. A Hyperloop project to connect these cities to each other and to their surrounding areas could provide many jobs to South Carolinians, provide relief to many of our congested interstates and highways, and create a boom in the economies of these areas. Additionally, an accessible Hyperloop system could provide many South Carolinians access to other areas of the state. This could boost tourism and attract more business in these areas that may have suffered economically due to the pandemic striking the nation. This could be a unique opportunity to advance the state and recover from an economic crisis!

Finally, the development of a large scale system in our state would be the first of its kind, akin to a bragging right, and the success of such a project could be the catalyst of large scale implementation among the nation.
