Vernard Morton. He was a 16 year old boy who attended Highland Springs High School, Va. On June 15 of 2018, he went to the pool to meet a friend and hang out, but what many people did not know was that he was bullied frequently at his school. He was pushed into the pool by these bullies at the crowded area into 9 feet deep water. For 6 minutes he was unnoticed until people realized he had not come up for air. He was taken to the hospital where he later was ruled as brain dead and died, and his death was ruled as an accident. His bullies have not been charged. Students have said they bullied him for his skin color and height. His name will be heard. I am calling for justice for this boy who was taken from his family and his murderers left unscathed. JUSTICE FOR VERNARD MORTON. The Henrico County Police Department needs to charge these people for what they did to him and his family in order for them to get the closure they deserve after what has happened.
