Hi, my name is Brandon Pettigrew. I am a rising junior who was really excited to have a normal year after seeing the high number of vaccinations in my school. However, things have changed with the highly transmissible delta variant. Now we have to wear a mask again on campus and potentially miss out on the full Hendrix experience because not enough students are vaccinated to combat the new delta variant. Many students have already had a lot of their college experience taken from them because of COVID-19, and many of us have done our part. However, there are some that haven’t gotten vaccinated and pose a threat to having a normal year. The students come to Hendrix not just for the amazing education but also for the community and social life which may not exist. My idea is to make it to where students must be fully vaccinated to return to campus in person that way we can have some sense of normalcy while being safe. If you believe as I do and want to get Hendrix back to its prime then please sign this petition that I plan on taking to the dean of students. Please help and bring back Homedrix and thank you for your time and support.
