Julie Hull started this petition to Hendersonville BOMA

The developers of Forest Park have come back with a new plan for Jenkins Farm. As you may know, this development was denied by the Planning Commission and the Board of Mayor and Aldermen last year by an overwhelming majority. There are still 626 homes in this new plan, which is only 42 homes less than what was proposed last year. They have taken out the 2-story townhomes and replaced them with single level cottages. They have given a buffer to residents on Jenkins Lane and they are donating 36 acres of "park land" to the city. They are proposing to pay "per lot impact fees" to help with improvements to Saundersville Rd. BUT those of us that live off Saundersville Rd know that these fees will not come close to the repairs that are needed. There is currently still only one way in and one way out, with a proposed connector thru a subdivision that has not yet been approved. Other notable facts would be the number of children this development will add to our already overcrowded schools. The number of homes that have already been approved, yet have not been built along Saundersville Road are 790 homes. This does not include the 626 proposed homes in Forest Park. This is going to put more strain on the current infrastructure, Exit 8, Station Camp and other Hville schools, traffic, fire and police safety. Please stand with us once again to #stopforestpark! The BOMA meeting is on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:30. Wear red to show your solidarity for preserving our community!  (Just an FYI, the donation request at the end does not go to our cause, it goes to change.org).
