Hello I'm a offender at CRC and this petition is on the behalf of the Offenders and Correctional Officers. Through out the state of Ohio. If you have love one's that is in prison or work as a Correctional Officer can you please help us. For the past 5 months. We have witnessed C.O.'s work long tireless hours after their shift from being mandated away from their families, to keep this prison system running. But as the months and weeks go by, the C.O.'s are quitting their jobs. Some going to factory jobs because they pay more and don't have to worry about their life being harmed. It's becoming an unsafe environment for "Offenders" and "Correctional Officers" if something was to happen. Our Recreation and sometimes school is closed down, because of lack of Officers. We are asking you to please raise the Correctional Officers pay to starting pay at $30.00 an hour. Since they have to deal with the same people that the judges take off the streets from murders , rapist ,robbers and etcetera. this is only fair and will help get more officers and keep the good one's that we have. thank you for listing to our concerns and cries for help thank you.
