In recent years, there has been an alarming increase of active shooters targeting our children’s schools. In response, Burleson parents created the HEAART organization (Helping Educators Aim Against Real Threats). Our mission is to improve security at all Burleson schools by employing The Guardian Program which facilitates educators to carry a firearm on campus. We want to work with parents, educators, administrators, and the school board to implement these security measures.
