I have started this petition because of the story of Chelsea Mooney. I believe there aren’t enough resources for young people to rely on. 

TW mentions of self harm and suicide

Chlesea Mooney unfortunately passed last year. She had been a patient at Cygnet Hospital in Sheffield for nearly 18 months (where she was classed as a ‘high risk case’ and was delivered a high level of care) when she tried to  commit suicide. Chelsea had been diagnosed with anorexia and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Staff had been ordered to check on Chelsea every 10 minutes but at 6:32pm on the 10th April died. 

She needed care that wasn’t delivered. She died because of 2 minutes. I’m not putting her death in the hands of the staff, but i’m trying to explain how underfunded and under-supported the service available are.
