The West High homecoming parade has been going on for 60 years. It’s a tradition for the band to walk past the elementary schools and peoples houses. Parents take their kids out of class to see the parade. 2021 the parade had to be reduced to walking around the track due to COVID restrictions making the band not prepared enough. This year the student council decided to do the parade around the track again. When some members of the student body protested and told the council that the band would be disappointed that they were not going to have a lang parade, the council started to discuss routes. Now, help us convince the student council that we want this parade to happen because it means a lot for the band, the school spirit and the community.
