RCSD has proposed, and is in the process of implementing, significant reductions and modifications in transportation services supplied to non-public school students. We would like to reverse those reductions for the upcoming 2016-17 school year, as follows: 1- Restore multiple arrival and dismissal times per school building based on school schedules by age/grade. 2- Restore transportation to each student's final destination even if divisions are housed in multiple buildings. 3- Restore transportation on non-mandated school days as in prior years. Without these services, there will be a significant increase in traffic and emissions assuming parents will have to drive their children instead of receiving appropriate bus options. There will be decreased safety with respect to traffic accidents, as well as dropping off children at locations other than their final school destinations. And there will be significant disruption in child readiness and family management due to the additional burden of multiple carpools for parents of children impacted by the changes.
