Help us make Foxtel Screen it next time! Our final push!
On Saturday the Inaugural Womens AFL Draft match was played in front of a crowd of 7500 people. This is more attendees than what a GWS usually attracts!
We started a Facebook page to give live updates of the match and within 12 hours we had 860 Likes (followers). 1703 people checked the status for the final score and a post we put up last night attracted 1208 people, indicating the buzz about the game is still alive.

OUR FIGHT ISN'T OVER!
These figures indicate the importance of the match to so many people. Over 4000 of you signed this petition within 2 days!
The Women pioneering AFL for us are committed to make matches like Saturday happen again. We need to show the powers that be how important it is.
We have 24 hours to collect as many names as we can before we submit these figures to Foxtel, Telstra, 7 and the AFL (including other AFL clubs who were not part of the draft).
Please, please help us.

This will show how many people would have tuned in to Fox to watch it if they televised it.
Thank you for all of your support so far. Women's Football future is bright with your support.
This Saturday, June 29th marks the most historical event in the last 100 years in Football.
The first EVER female AFL match with Australia's best female football players is to be played on the MCG.
Melbourne Football Club and the Western Bulldogs Football Club have drafted their teams from the best of the best in female football. The match promises to showcase the amazing talent in female football and provide an opportunity for the whole of Australia to see what the girls are capable of.
Unfortunately, as yet the event is not going to be televised or even live streamed! Live Streaming is not possible because of poor signal strength in the MCG, but having the game televised IS an option and we need your help to make this happen!
Neither Fox Footy nor Channel 7 have put their hands up to screen this special event. As we understand it, is an issue of money. We implore Fox and Channel 7 to understand that female football just doesn't have the backing at the moment to be able to front up a payment. That doesn't mean that there aren't thousands of females, friends, families and footy fans all over Australia who wouldn't love the opportunity to view this milestone.
Females make up just over half of the AFL's viewing audience; we think it's time we got a little payback for our support.
PLEASE spread the word and help us get 5000 signatures to tell Fox Footy and Channel 7 that screening the first ever Female AFL match is an absolute must!
We don’t have a lot of time though, so we need to act quickly! Please send this petition to all of your email contacts and also post onto your Facebook page.
Let’s make it happen!
