The Towamencin Pool has been a crucial part of our community for many years. There will be dire consequences because of the decision not to open the H-Pool this summer. These include the following:

1. We will loose out on a positive summer experience growing up at the Towamencin pool. Post Covid this would be a great way to get our community out and back together.
2. The H-Pool is the fun part of the pool for families with younger children, especially children ages 2-12. The main pool which requires a deep water test is not easily used by children who do not have much swimming experience. 
3. This is also effecting the lap swimmers/water walkers as there will be reduced lap lanes.
4. There will be no swim lessons which is a huge setback for the children in the community as there have been no swim lessons for the past few years due to Covid. Not only is this affecting the children in the community, but it is also reducing jobs that would otherwise be available to high school and college aged people. 
5. The Towamencin Swim Team is also being affected by the H-Pool closure. The annual pre-season party was cancelled and children aspiring to join the swim team when they are older are being set back because they can not practice in the H-Pool.
6. Due to lack of pool area, guards will not get an adequate amount of scheduled hours that would have been available if the H-Pool was open. 
7. Not only are the lifeguards being affected the snack stand revenues will be impacted as well as membership revenue.

In the end many people are being negatively impacted by the inaction of fixing the H-Pool. The community would love to see the H-Pool open up as soon as possible.
