We need your help to get permission from the LA City Parks and Recreation to transform the North Hollywood Community Basketball court into a space where the youth of the city can have a place to feel at home.  Project Backboard, who has painted amazing murals on community courts like Venice Beach and Inglewood, has agreed to work with The X Factor Foundation to memorialize our friend, brother, son and mentor, Xavier Patterson - and all of those who have suffered from mental illness and/or suicidal thoughts.

This beautified basketball court will be a safe place for youth to gather, reflect and play basketball. This project would create a voice for those who feel they are voiceless. Who've been told their depression, anxiety, or other mental health illness is something they should just get over.

More about our mission ....There is an epidemic of Mental Health issues among our community. We need to come together to support each other. In response to a community-spread issue and the recent loss of our friend, Xavier Patterson, we are requesting permission to dedicate the North Hollywood outdoor basketball court and create a beautiful space in memory of our loved ones.

It's been 3 months since we lost of our friend, brother and Son, Xavier Patterson to suicide. Nothing about that day has gotten any easier. But what's made it even harder is hearing about the 12 kids that attempted in the community and 4 kids from my school since the passing of "X".
