"ITS NOT LIKE I COULD CALL THE POLICE, MY DAD IS THE POLICE" -ALYSSA 

My granddaughter Alyssa Broderick made an outcry to her mother Amanda in June of 2020, that she had been sexually assaulted by her adopted dad Stephen Broderick, Who at the time was a detective with The Travis County Sheriff's Department. It started around the age of 10. 

Amanda took Alyssa immediately to the hospital and a DNA/medical examination was done where Stephen's DNA was found. She stated in her hospital interview that she feared the outcome and that they would silence her voice because he was an officer of the law.

"HE HAS A REALLY GOOD REPUTATION AS BEING THIS GREAT STRONG GUY, AND I THOUGHT NOONE WOULD BELIEVE ME" -ALYSSA

Two weeks later he was charged and arrested for sexual assault of a child (family violence) with an 100k bond that would be reduced and he would be released with bond restrictions that he would soon violate. In November the grand jury indicated him on 12 counts. NINE counts of sexual assault of a child and THREE counts of family assault by strangulation. 

All 12 counts of things he did to Alyssa from the age of 10 to 16. During this period of waiting for the courts outcome Alyssa voiced several times that she was in fear of her life.

Her outcry should have been dealt with more concern and help from law enforcement, because it lead to the murder of Amanda, Alyssa, and Alyssa's boyfriend Willie in front of Amanda and Stephen's son. 

 Her abuser had prior Military training and was also a SWAT trained Deputy, That had the capability of hurting someone if he really wanted too. 

ALYSSA'S VOICE SHOULD NOT BE SILENCED!

Stephen was being charged with the sexual assult and three counts of capital murder but now he's being allowed to make a plea deal to drop the sexual assault. When the sexual assault is what started this whole nightmare and he should be held accountable on all charges. We feel, the Travis County District Attorney is allowing the murderer dictate what he will be charged with because it makes their job easier and will allow the case to be swept under the rug. Where is the justice in this for the victims who are no longer here? HER VOICE WAS SILENCED AND THE ACCUSER WILL NOT HAVE TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS OWN ACTIONS!!!! 

In allowing Alyssa's voice to be heard, speaks volumes for other victims and their family members who are dealing with similar situations.

We are hoping to change the law to help victims hold their offenders accountable.

If there is DNA evidence that is collected at the hospital during a medical examination, it's proven to be the accused, they are indicted on sexual assault charges, and another crime is committed that causes harm or death to said victim that enables them to not testify against accused, a plea deal cannot be made to dismiss sexual assault charges. They should have to face the charge(s) especially if they are murdered by the offender.

He violated a minor and murdered her so he didn't have to go to prison as a pedophile or be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. Stephen should be held accountable to the maximum for all of his actions, not just the ones he chooses. "NO ES COMO PUEDO LLAMAR A LA POLICÍA, MI PAPÁ ES LA POLICÍA" -ALYSSA

Mi nieta Alyssa protestó ante su madre Amanda en junio de 2020, que había sido agredida sexualmente por su padre adoptivo Stephen Broderick, quien en ese momento era detective del Departamento del Sheriff del condado de Travis. Comenzó alrededor de los 10 años.
Amanda llevó a Alyssa inmediatamente al hospital y se realizó un examen médico/de ADN donde se encontró el ADN de Stephen. Ella dijo en su entrevista en el hospital que temía el resultado y que silenciarían su voz porque él era un oficial de la ley.

"ÉL TIENE UNA MUY BUENA REPUTACIÓN DE SER UN GRAN TIPO FUERTE, Y PENSÉ QUE NADIE ME CREERÍA" -ALYSSA

Dos semanas después fue acusado y arrestado por agresión sexual a una niña (violencia familiar) con una fianza de 100k que se reduciría y sería liberado con restricciones de fianza que pronto violaría. En noviembre, el gran jurado lo señaló por 12 cargos. NUEVE cargos de agresión sexual a una niña y TRES cargos de agresión familiar por estrangulamiento.
Los 12 recuentos de cosas que le hizo a Alyssa desde los 10 hasta los 16 años. Durante este período de espera del resultado de la corte, Alyssa expresó varias veces que temía por su vida.
Su protesta debería haber sido tratada con más preocupación y ayuda por parte de las fuerzas del orden, porque condujo al asesinato de Amanda, Alyssa y el novio de Alyssa, Willie, frente al hijo de Amanda y Stephen.

Su abusador tenía entrenamiento militar previo y también era un diputado entrenado por SWAT, que tenía la capacidad de lastimar a alguien si realmente lo deseaba.
¡LA VOZ DE ALYSSA NO DEBE SER SILENCIADA!
Stephen estaba siendo acusado de agresión sexual y tres cargos de asesinato capital, pero ahora se le permite llegar a un acuerdo de culpabilidad para retirar la agresión sexual. Cuando la agresión sexual es lo que comenzó toda esta pesadilla y debe rendir cuentas por todos los cargos. Creemos que el fiscal de distrito del condado de Travis está permitiendo que el asesino dicte de qué se le acusará porque facilita su trabajo y permitirá que el caso se esconda debajo de la alfombra. ¿Dónde está la justicia en esto para las víctimas que ya no están? SU VOZ FUE SILENCIADA Y EL ACUSADOR NO TENDRIA QUE ENFRENTAR LAS CONSECUENCIAS DE SUS PROPIAS ACCIONES!!!!
Permitir que se escuche la voz de Alyssa dice mucho de otras víctimas y sus familiares que están lidiando con situaciones similares.

Esperamos cambiar la ley para ayudar a las víctimas a responsabilizar a sus delincuentes.
Si hay evidencia de ADN que se recolecta en el hospital durante un examen médico, se prueba que es el imputado, se le acusa de agresión sexual y se comete otro delito que causa daño o muerte a dicha víctima que le permite no declarar. contra el acusado, no se puede llegar a un acuerdo de culpabilidad para desestimar los cargos de agresión sexual. Deberían tener que enfrentar los cargos, especialmente si son asesinados por el delincuente.
Muestre su apoyo firmando esta petición y muestre a nuestros defensores públicos (fiscal de distrito) que aceptar un trato con un asesino solo porque facilita su trabajo no debería ser aceptable. Violó a una menor y la asesinó para no tener que ir a prisión por pedófilo o ser un delincuente sexual registrado por el resto de su vida. Stephen debe rendir cuentas al máximo por todas sus acciones, no solo por las que elige.
