I want to bring the problem to the attention of the U.S. government and have them talk to the Indian government and convince them to enforce laws that protect tigers and create new laws that protect tiger prey and habitats. The U.S. government can use their influence with the Indian government to help change India’s tiger policy. The U.S. department of State says they have this strong relationship with India because of values common to both countries including the rule of law, respect for diversity, and a democratic government. If the Indian government agrees to further support the tiger, it would be a big step in tiger conservation efforts.
If the tiger goes extinct it will disrupt the whole ecosystem they live in. The populations of the animals that the tigers normally eat would send the animals to extinction killing themselves in the process. This creates an endless cycle of death and destruction ultimately destroying the forest. Please sign this petition for the sake of the tiger.
