Gun violence is a problem all around America...

Please note this petition is made by a group of students who want to make change and have been affected by gun violence.  Students should not have to worry about their safety while in a learning environment in which they go to everyday!  Please hear our voice and help us make our communities safer.  In 2020, around 45,000 people passed away from gun violence in America.  Since then, the rates raised 15%!  Around 120 people pass away from gun violence a year.  There has been 89 school shootings since 2018 and most of which the gunman have a history of bad mental health.  We checkups on our mental health!  Sometimes, our safety is in play...   Another issue we are facing is the easy access to these weapons!  How could you let people get these weapons so easily?  We need firm laws in place that you MUST have a gun licence or a thorough background check to purchase guns.  We need to know if the person has a history of bad mental health or a bad track record of jail time.  Now how we know this wouldn't fully END gun violence, this would heavily decrease the statistics because us students shouldn't have to worry or be scared of this.  Help us, hear us and we will hear you. #CeaseFire, please check our Instagram page too. https://ceasefire.carrd.co/
