Unfortunately Hudson Park is continually targeted by senseless vandalism. Every couple of weeks, the grounds are damaged by vandals driving recklessly and doing burnouts.

The clubhouse has been damaged, being graffitied and having doors broken and kicked in.

This affects the children who have not only missed playing the game they love because of terrible weather, but will continue to miss, as the fields are too damaged to play on.

We, as a community, urge Newcastle City Council to complete placing bollards around the perimeter of the field along Lexington Parade to stop cars being able to access the fields. 

Bollards or fencing have been provided to many sporting fields - Lugar Park, Nesbitt Park and Pickering Oval just to name a few. However, Hudson Park remains accessible to vehicles and vandals.

The kids have had enough. The parents have had enough. The community have had enough.
