Fairtrade chocolate means farmers who farmed chocolate were paid fairly, there was no child labor, and men and women were paid equally. Chocolate that is not Fairtrade, however, commits to none of these. Nestlé, however, continues to use non-Fairtrade chocolate.

While non-Fairtrade chocolate is cheaper, many people have boycotted Nestlé because of its policies who might buy Nestlé products again, as well as the choice helping many lives.
