To Ken Solomon - Chairman of the Tennis Channel,                                                                                                 

This is a letter of inquiry regarding your ongoing association with the Humane Society of the Desert (HSOD).  As a respected businessman among your peers, your involvement with this failed organization surrounded by claims of fraudulent activities by ex-president, Malinda Bustos, offers no reasonable explanation. Watch the documentary Sleeping Dogs Don't Lie.         

For the welfare of the animals, I have taken liberty to consult with Daryl Reese. Daryl is a business law and nonprofit attorney based in Santa Rosa, California. During our conversation, I explained that the State of California revoked HSOD tax-exempt status back in 2020. Nonetheless, the organization continues to solicit funds. After a review of documents and reports of non-compliance, Daryl’s advice was to dissolve the organization.   

The Corporation - Statement of Information filed 3/14/22 shows Lissa Solomon has been replaced as Secretary by Jimmy Cannon. President Mary Beth Fasano (resident of Florida) changed her mailing address to the property location of HSOD. It’s known that neither Mary Beth nor Jimmy plays an active role in the organization. They are simply placeholders. That leaves you, Ken to make the decision. To do the right thing. Vote to dissolve the corporation and transfer assists to a legitimate non-profit. I know of several reputable pet rescue organizations in the Coachella Valley. 

In the eyes of the law, crimes committed by Bustos also incriminate you, Ken. Every day the HSOD website remains active, it continues to ask for financial donations. So, I will ask again. Ken, do you have a reasonable explanation?
