San Francisco has recently stationed “elevator guardians” throughout the lifts along the Market Street Muni & Bart stations. These city employees were placed there to keep the  elevators safe and clean for the tourists and tech transplants who complain about the city’s unhoused population. 
These guardians are POC & many are elders as well. The elevators are extremely hot and there is no air flow or ventilation for them during their 7 hour shifts. 
San Francisco is taking advantage of marginalized groups by forcing them to work in inhumane conditions. 
Please join me in calling on the Mayor’s Office to create humane working conditions for these elevator guardians by implementing an air flow/cooling/ventilation system in each lift. 
We all deserve to work in safe & comfortable conditions.
