Have been a person who has been to this theatre so many times to see movies and live music. Why would you destroy this building for a motel. ??

We should start preserving our beautiful old buildings. Too many have been destroyed over the last 50 years in this country.

Mudgee has many beautiful facades and that's what makes it unique. The regent is another that deserves to be saved not only for its history but also for its future. What a venue it could be, restore the movies to their original venue, create more tourism potential by hosting art deco movies, I don't think we need another hotel.

Hotels can be built elsewhere in Mudgee - there is no shortage of alternative sites but if demolished, this beautiful building is lost forever. It is an asset to the town - a rare example of art deco beauty.

This government has demonstrated innumerable times its contempt for our architectural heritage, but I haven’t stopped hoping they will change... saving the Regent this would be an excellent and encouraging start.
