This little 18 week old pit bull puppy named Hope is destined to be euthanized, not because she did anything wrong, her only crime is that she was born a pit bull. She is currently being held at the Saginaw County Animal Care Center in MI where they have an unwritten policy to not adopt out pit bull type dogs. They also do not release them to rescues or transfer them to another shelter. Basically, a pit bull type dog at the Saginaw shelter stands no chance if not claimed by their owner.

If no owner shows up to claim Hope, she will be euthanized all because she was born a pit bull. We are trying to save her and will need donations to help pay for the legal fees that will be incurred (thankfully, thru the Lexus Project, there are two very nice lawyers who are donating their time and energy to this cause). Hope is scared and alone. She's only a baby and she deserves the chance to live! She deserves the chance to grow up. She deserves the chance to know what it's like to be loved by a family. The only way that this will happen is if
animal control agrees to release her. If animal control proves difficult to work with, a judge will get involved.
