Historic-Cultural Monument Status Killed by LA Council Member Krekorian
Mar 11, 2012 — Before the HCM recommendation could be heard and voted on by the LA City Council, Krekorian squashed it by postponing the meetings and not allowing the Council to vote on it. He has been communicating with developer and Henry's land owner, MEHRAN EBRAHIMPOUR of Beverly Hills, but has refused to communicate or respond to all other attempts by community members and Henry's owner and her representatives. It is clear that Krekorian's interests lie with $$$ developers $$$ and NOT the local community, or constituents he is supposed to represent.
The HCM process may have been postponed (temporarily) due to the shady politics of Mr. Krekorian, but this online petition will remain available to supporters of Henry's Tacos in particular and all of the other iconic small businesses being threatened by greedy land developers and landlords everywhere.
Henry's is STILL asking for the landlord to renew their lease with fair and sustainable terms and stop extorting 150 percent rent every month.
