Help Rescue North Korean Refugee Children Hiding in Asia

Thousands of stateless North Korean refugee children are hiding in China and other Asian countries. For years, these child refugees have had to live in mortal fear of being caught, sent back to North Korea, and jailed for trying to escape the hell that is North Korea. If they are not caught, they are often sold into the sex trade and abused beyond imagination.

Sign this petition to urge your State representatives to support the North Korean Adoption Act of 2011U.S. Senate Bill S.416 and House Bill HR 1464. The passage of this bill will allow U.S. citizens to adopt North Korean refugee children.

Thousands of American families are ready embrace the opportunity to adopt these children.

As a beacon of hope for the rest of the world, the United States cannot stand idly by and continue to allow these helpless and destitute children to be trafficked or live as prisoners. This is not merely an adoption issue but an issue of human rights

Letter to
The President of the United States
I am writing you today in support of the North Korean Adoption Act (HR 1464 / S.416).

As one of your constituents, I urge you to follow the progression of HR 1464 / S.416 and request your endorsement in co-sponsoring and supporting this bill. Once it passes committee, you have the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on not only thousands of stateless North Korean refugee children but also thousands of American families that would embrace the opportunity to adopt these children.

The passage of this bill is a step towards fulfilling the dream of saving forlorn child refugees from North Korea who are hiding in developing countries. They precariously cling to life; they live in mortal fear of being caught and sent back to North Korea.

For years, these child refugees have had to live in fear of being caught, sent back to North Korea, and jailed for trying to escape the hell that is North Korea. If they are not caught, they are often sold into the sex trade and abused beyond imagination. As a beacon of hope for the rest of the world, the United States cannot stand idly by and continue to allow this to happen to these helpless and destitute children. Be sure that this is not merely an adoption issue, but an issue of human rights.

Your heartfelt support and co-sponsorship of this bill would be a gift to hundreds of thousands and would be impossible without your support.

Sincerely,
