Protect our immigrants from the future Trump Administration -

Help extend the protective provisions for the registered immigrants of the DAPA (Deferred Action for Parental Accountability) and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) created by President Barrack Obama.

After watching a report on the new administration policy agenda concerning immigrants and specifically DAPA and DACA registrants I have been driven to action to help protect these young people and families.

Immigrants especially have become targeted by the president elect Donald Trump, his advisors and supporters through xenophobic fear mongering. Now the REGISTERED immigrants of the DAPA and DACA are at risk of being rounded up and deported. President Obama's Administration created this action for young families searching for a future in this great nation. The immigrants who have registered for DAPA are not enforcement priority or law violators meaning that they are not suspected of gang or terrorist involvement and have passed a background check but allows them to work legally in the U.S to support their families. Those who have registered with DAPA (also known as DREAMers) are young immigrants searching for better education and opportunity.

There are over 700,000 REGISTERED immigrants but the issue with DAPA and DACA is that it is not legally binding. With the new administration focusing on deportation the list of these families could be directly targeted for deportation. Let' s help in extending the protection of these young prosperous families to become future great Americans. Please sign this petition and send to your friends and families who would like to help keep this country true to its values.
