Currently, Yankees-E. 153rd Street Terminal is a local stop on the Hudson Line of the MTA Metro-North System. The terminal should be an express stop, as (1) it serves a heavily populated and commuted area, (2) is a New York City transit hub, and (3) can accommodate all express trains, given that it is one of the largest stations in the entire Metro North System.

Heavily Populated and Commuted Area

In addition to New York Yankee and New York City Football Club game days at Yankee Stadium, the Yankee Stadium/Concourse area is home to the Bronx Courthouse and Municipal buildings, the Bronx Terminal Market, Hostos Community College of the City Unversity of New York (CUNY), the Bronx Children's Museum, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Stadium Tennis Center and will also soon be home to the Universal Hip Hop Museum. Commuting to these places is currently far more time-consuming than it should be and commuters oftentimes travel into Manhatten and then onto the subway to reduce commuting time.

New York City Transit Hub

Passengers can connect to/from the 4 train and the B and D trains from Yankees-E. 153rd Street. All are within short walking distance from the terminal.

The Terminal Can Accommodate Express Trains

The terminal is one of the largest in the Metro North system with four local and express platforms, and can easily be turned into an express stop with very little additional time added to northbound and southbound express schedules.

All northbound and southbound Hudson Line Metro North Trains should stop at Yankees-E. 153rd Street.

• Express: Croton Harmon to Grand Central  -Stopping at Yankees-E. 153rd Street before Harlem-125th Street
• Express: Grand Central to Croton Harmon -Stopping at Yankees-E. 153rd Street after Harlem-125th Street
• Local: Croton Harmon to Grand Central -Stopping at Yankees-E. 153rd Street before Harlem-125th Street
• Local: Grand Central to Croton Harmon -Stopping at Yankees-E. 153rd Street after Harlem-125th Street
