I am a queer 13-year-old who goes to a catholic school. My school is anything but homophobic but lacks the needed representation for the school's LGBTI+ students. Only 9% (estimate) of my school's student body is out as queer or genderqueer but since this is such a small minority, they do not have a support system as many of their parental figures aren't accepting. 

What I want to do is introduce a program to help queer kids. This would include an LGBT counselor to talk to, an LGBTQIA+ club as a safe space, celebrations for pride month, and for sexuality and gender to be further and deeper discussed within health and HPE. This is something I am passionate about, and I know others feel the same. Enough signatures would mean I could present this petition to my principal to implement these methods into our educational system.
