I am in dire need of my official transcript to process a deferment of funds until I'm eligible for graduate funding through my scholarship provider. I attempted to contact the Lamar University President and received an email in October that he would see what he can do. I have patiently waited for months since I am aware other items on his agenda may be of more importance and of more impact. For this reason, I have not applied much pressure on the issue. Instead, I attempted to obtain private loans to cover a past-due balance generated after a readjustment of financial aid for Spring 2021. However, because the balance does not meet certain requirements, I have been unable to pay to obtain private loans. 

Now, time is of the essence.

If I cannot get my transcript, I will not be able to process a deferment and I will lose all funding for future schooling - up to my doctorate.

Though I may not be a priority to Lamar University, Lamar University is a priority of mine. If I am able to secure future funding, I plan to go the whole distance and eventually pursue a Ed.D. in Professional Leadership with a concentration in Special Populations and Educational Disparities to become Dr. Julio Delgado.

It is my dream to one day be able to come back to Southeast Texas and serve Lamar University as University President. As a first-generation, nontraditional, LatinX, indigenous, and neurodivergent student, I aspire to become a resource to all those who desire to pursue an education despite the presence of what could be considered setbacks. For this reason, I am asking for your support in this petition.
