My name is Josh Shodipo and I’m a student athlete at Northern Michigan University. During the spring 2022 semester I had a lot of tragic and unfortunate situations fall upon me and I didn’t do well in my accounting class due to those circumstances. I’ve always been a good student and had a good grade in accounting before all of the problems started happening. I’m here today to ask you all to sign this petition in support of my appeal of my grade in accounting to I can become eligible to compete in football this fall. Ncaa rules state we have to pass 9 credits the semester before competition and I passed 8 due to my accounting class. I already plan on retaking accounting over the summer, but I need the credits to be eligible to compete in the fall. At the time of my personal struggles I was passing accounting and showed no signs of being in danger of failing. I have to bring sufficient evidence of this to an appeals committee and state my case as to why I should be granted this opportunity. I’ve worked hard in every area of my life to maintain a standard, and I’m just asking for help to continue moving forward and leave my unfortunate circumstances in the past and continue being a successful student athlete. I surely would’ve passed accounting had it not been for a tumultuous few weeks during the semester. Every signature can help make my case even stronger, all support helps. Thank you  ��
